Five questions we ask before every audit

A radar chart with scores in five areas

An audit is only as useful as the questions behind it. Before we measure anything, we sit down with the people who own the work and agree on what a good result would look like.

What we want to know first

  • Who is the site for, and what should they be able to do?
  • Which pages carry the most weight today?
  • What has been tried before, and what happened?
  • Who will act on the findings once we are done?
  • How will we know, three months from now, that it worked?

The answers set the target for every score in the report. Without them, a number is just a number.
